Max Kyte lifted London Lions to the top of the Herts Senior County League Premier Division table following a 3-2 win over Wormley Rovers.
The Lions continued their unbeaten home start to the season in what manager Andy Landesberg described as "a game of two halves".
The Lions stormed out the blocks and missed four glorious chances that could have put the game to bed in the opening 10 minute. However Kyte eventually opened the scoring from close range after 15 minutes.
Lions were dominating proceedings and doubled their lead when a fine through ball from Andy Glynne was slotted home by Kyte for his ninth of the season.
The Lions were well in control with Wormley unable to get hold of the ball and with 10 minutes of the half remaining the ball was fed into Keterman who held it up and played a reverse pass down the right into the path of Kennet who crossed for Furman to volley home 3-0, a fantastic goal.
Two-goal hero Kyte had to be replaced just before the break by Ben Ellis after a complaining of a back injury.
The first five minutes of the second half was more of the same with Lions playing free flowing football but shortly after an individual error from Lions keeper Tray was punished. Wormley were back in the game 3-1.
Lions could not get their foot on the ball and Wormley started to dominate, everything Lions had done in the first half was being undone by poor ball retention and sloppy decision marking. On the 70 minute mark Wormley scored their second goal after Tray was beaten by a low powerful shot from an angle 3-2.
Landesberg made two changes with Benji Weinberger and Harry Hatchwell replacing Charlie Kasler and the injured Keterman. The changed seemed to have a calming influence in the final 15 minutes with Wormley trying desperately to find the equaliser but just falling short despite Lions finishing with 10 men after Ben Ellis was sent off for stamp on the Wormley full back.
Lions manager Andy Landesberg said: "This was certainly a game of two halves - we were excellent in the opening 45 minutes but really let ourselves down in the second period.
"We cannot allow sides back into the game after being in total control, individual errors, fitness and poor decision gave Wormley hope in the second half.
"However we got the three points and went top of the table for the first time this season and if we can produce the first half performance for 80-90 minutes we will be okay."
