Matt Murray has paid tribute to Stuart Kaye after the veteran bowler received a Lifetime Achievement award by Chigwell & Hainault Synagogue Cricket Club.

Club captain Murray presented the trophy as recognition of over 25 years of service as a stalwart player and long-time committee member.

Kaye has already been honoured for his cricketing ability, collecting the coveted Player of the Year award in 2000 for a remarkable season where he picked up eight wickets and scored a half century in the same match.

He is renowed for his bowling ‘loop’, focusing on line and length rather than speed, bringing him six wickets in 2013 at an average of under 20.
