Joshua Rose, 16, helped Essex Under 17s win the East of England Regional County Championships at the National Hockey finals at Cannock, Staffordshire.
A pupil at Chigwell School, Rose set up two goals as Essex won its first three matches at the round robin phase.
Rose, who has been playing for four years, is a member of Old Loughtonians Hockey Club.
