Alyth Belsize Yellow were one of the stars of the show at the annual Maccabi (Southern) Primary League awards at Brady Maccabi in Edgware.

The Under 11 team claimed the title after winning every league match and conceding a mere six goals in the process.

Alyth defensive midfielder Kai Biegun believes that they won in style: “It’s really great to have taken the league but to have also won every match was unbelievable,” he said.

The 11-year-old from Muswell Hill dreams of one day emulating Arsenal’s Cesc Fabregas and admitted that this season had been “too easy”. He hopes the team is given a bigger challenge next year. “We played well but it has not been really hard,” he said. “The manager put together a great team and we want to achieve even more next season.”
