Hapoel Tel Aviv and Hapoel Be'er Sheva were eliminated from the Europa League at the second qualifying round stage.

Tel Aviv were unable to recover from a 3-0 first leg defeat against Astana, with a second-half penalty from Sasha earning them a 1-0 victory on the night in the second leg played in Larnaca, due to the security situation in Israel.

Be'er Sheva bowed out 2-1 on aggregate against RNK Split following a goalless draw in Larnaca.

It was a night of sheer frustration for the Israeli club who had four players booked, including three in the second half.
