Meir Levy, the Israeli referee who took charge of Saturday's SPL Premier Division match between Hamilton and St. Mirren, has been praised by the managers of both teams.
Levy officiated at the request of the SFA after the league's officials went on strike, unhappy that their integrity is being continually questioned.
Speaking after the goalless draw, Hamilton boss Billy Reid said: "I thought over the piece he did all right. He handled the game well. He was confident and dominant in his decisions.
"We're just very thankful that he came over and helped us out this week. I'm going to try and catch him [Levi] and say 'well done' to him because he was good."
St. Mirren boss Danny Lennon said: "Our own referees seem to have a bit of a stronger mentality, but I thought the officials did fine."
Meanwhile, Eli Hacmon claims that he was sent over on false pretences.
The Israeli ref, who took charge of Kilmarnock's 2-0 win against Aberdeen, said that he would not have travelled to Scotland had he known the true reasons for the dispute.
"I am not happy," he said. "We did not know the reason before we came on Friday,"
"If we knew it before, we would not have come. We need to back up our friends."
"When the FA told us about the situation, they said it was political, and no more - if it was political it would be OK.
Hacmon was also scheduled to be the fourth official for the clash between Motherwell and Hearts yesterday but the match fell victim to the weather.
