Israel maintained their Europe/Africa Group 1 Davis Cup status after beating Slovenia.
Israel stormed into an unassailable 3-0 lead in Tel Aviv, with Dudi Sela and Amir Weintraub winning their respective Singles rubbers before Sela teamed up with Ben Patael to win the doubles.
Sela made an impressive start on Friday, beating Nik Razborsek 6-1, 6-3, 6-1. Weintraub opened up a 2-0 lead with a five-set victory over Grega Zemlja, winning the decider 6-4.
Illness to Eden Leshem meant that Patael was called up at short notice and, roared on by the home fans, he and Sela beat Zemlja and Aljaz Radinski in straight sets.
Israel coach Eyal Ran said: "The Israeli fans were wonderful and they deserve to be watching World Group Davis Cup tennis and I believe they will get to see it.
"To win it 3-0 by the second day was like a dream. We have young players coming through and hope for the future."
Slovenia ensured there was no whitewash on Sunday, with Radinski beating Patael 6-4, 4-6, 6-3, while Razborsek was awarded the final rubber with a walkover against Weintraub.
