Two goals from debutant Omer Damari steered Israel to a 3-2 victory over Iceland at the Bloomfield Stadium on Wednesday night.

Played in front of only 4,500 spectators at the home of Hapoel Tel Aviv, Damari, a striker for Maccabi Petach Tikvah, marked his first international match with a goal inside five minute.

Damari put Luis Fernandez's men two goals up with another smart finish after 14 minutes.

It was 3-0 after 27 minutes when Maccabi Haifa's Lior Rafaelov fired home.
