Uefa have announced that Howard Webb will officiate Hapoel Tel Aviv's Champions League Group Stage match with Lyon at Bloomfield Stadium on Wednesday night.

Webb, 39, is considered the world's top referee after taking charge of the World Cup final between Spain and Holland in South Africa in July and last May’s Champions League final between Inter Milan and Bayern Munich.

Webb took charge of the goalless Premiership draw between Fulham and Everton at Craven Cottage on Saturday.

Hapoel lost their opening Group B match 2-0 against Benfica. They currently lie 8th in Ligat Ha’al.
