Brighton striker Tomer Hemed misses out through injury while Moanes Dabour has been omitted because he is getting married. The Sevilla attacker says he arranged the wedding 18 months ago and the date cannot be moved.

Israel still possess strong options in attack in the shape of the Guangzhou duo of Eran Zahavi and Dia Saba. Zahavi struck a superb hat-trick in the 4-2 win over Austria in March and also scored in the 1-1 draw at home to Slovenia. Those results leave Israel second in Group G and hoping to consolidate its position there.

Israel latest qualifying matches sees them play away to Latvia on June 7 and Poland on June 10

Israel Sports Director Willi Ruttensteiner said: “What concerns me is that we are worrying too much about Poland, the top team in the group, and not enough about Latvia who can be tricky opposition.”
