Maccabi Haifa have reached the playoff round of the Champions League after edging past Slovenian champions Maribor 3-2 on aggregate on Wednesday night.
Leading 2-1 from the first leg in Israel, Idan Vered gave Haifa the perfect start in the third qualifying round match, netting a crucial away goal after 10 minutes at the Stadion Ljudski.
Captain Marcos equalised for Maribor but Haifa held on to book their place in Friday's draw.
