OAKHILL LIONS 2 LEEDS MACCABI 2nd 3
Jonny Goldstone’s early morning dash up the motorway paid dividends for Leeds Maccabi 2nds after his deadly double settled this basement battle.
Goldstone arrived just before kick-off from London to inspire the visitors to their first win of the season.
The striker was fed by Mark Korn to open up a two-goal buffer for Leeds Maccabi 2nds.
Benjamin Freize made sure of the morale-boosting win, with rock-bottom Oakhill hitting back via Roy Sko and Ben Mandell.
Leeds Maccabi 2nds boss Daniel Kristall said: "This has been a long time coming as our performances have warranted more wins.
"Hopefully this will give us the momentum and we can kick-on. Jonny made the difference.
"It was touch and go whether Jonny would make it back up north so. He is a big player for us we are thankful he did."
