London Maccabi Lions are looking to build on the success of the GB women's squad by setting up a new football team.
The ambitious Rowley Lane club, which fields 28 teams at men's and junior level, will start hosting monthly training sessions for female players on the club's 3G surface.
The team is being set up by the father-and-daughter team of Geoff Springer and Hollie Geey.
A member of the squad that won European gold in Vienna, Geey is confident the team will take off.
"Initially, the plan is to get as many new players involved as possible," said Geey. "We want to help them get fit and have fun with a view to putting a team into a league for season 2012/13."
Spurs fan Geey, 26, used to play for Wembley and Mill Hill ladies team and she believes that the group will benefit from expert coaching.
"The initial response has been good and the girls are really keen," said Geey. "Women's football is developing and it's about encouraging them to play the game. It's a great way to keep fit and the banter is brilliant.
"GB's achievements at the Maccabiah Games were amazing and even better in Vienna. We've got a good base to build on and the levels of excitement in the Jewish community are huge.
"Lots of girls are playing football at school and we want them to continue enjoying it and take it up a level."
