Maccabi GB's Open Women football team were beaten 3-1 by Enfield Reserves in their second friendly match ahead of the European Maccabi Games.
Brad Solomon's troops gave a good account of themselves in a goalless first half.
Without a recognised goalkeeper, GB conceded three times in the second 45 minutes, but claimed a deserved consolation in the last minute when Samantha Miller, one of the younger squad members at 17, finished a great passing move to beat the Enfield keeper from just inside the box.
Solomon said: "The team played excellent passing football for long periods, creating chance after chance. The players available showed both commitment and desire but we need to sharpen up our finishing ensuring we take the chances.
"The whole team played well but there were some particularly fine performances from Jen Palmer, who worked tirelessly up front, Tamar Koch, who bossed the middle of the park, Raquel Lewis, who was very solid in central defence, and Sophie Joseph, who was dangerous every time she received the ball on the left wing."
GB's next warm-up match takes place against Sharradswood FC on June 5.
