Great Britain’s Under 16 junior football squad warmed-up for July’s Maccabiah Games with a friendly against Spurs’ junior team at the club’s academy ground in Enfield, London.
Split into four quarters of 20 minutes, GB lost the first period 2-0. A goal from Crystal Palace trainee Bradley Gayer helped them draw the second quarter 1-1.
The team, co-managed by Jonny Davis, Neil Collins and Joel Nathan, lost the last two quarters 2-0.
Jonny Davis said: “I couldn’t fault anything about the day, even the results.”
Brian Green, Sports Chair of Junior/Youth football, said: “The behaviour, attitude and overall team spirit of the GB team on and off the pitch was exemplary and bodes well for the future.”
