Team GB stars John Kurrant and Russell Goldstein helped Loughborough University win the BUCS Futsal Championship final following a 7-0 victory over Brighton University.
In a match held over from March due to bad weather, Kurrant and Goldstein continued their preparations for the Open Futsal competition at the Maccabiah Games with excellent performances, in a one-sided contest.
Brighton were indebted to a solid performance from goalkeeper Daniel Lipman, who will join Kurrant and Goldstein in the GB squad in Israel in July. Goldstein capped a fine display with Loughborough’s fifth goal and he set up three others.
