Oldham captain Dean Furman says that he left Anfield feeling hurt after teammate Tom Adeyemi was allegedly subjected to a racial outburst from the Kop during the FA Cup third round tie against Liverpool last week.

Furman, 23, was quick to console Adeyemi, who was left in tears, following the incident towards the end of the match.

"What happened should not happen in the game," Furman said: "It has been highlighted over the last few months and it is an absolute disgrace.

"When one of your boys is down like that we all feel it. Tom, the authorities and police will sort out the situation.
