Furman eyes 2010 World Cup

Glasgow Rangers' midfielder Dean Furman has set his sights on representing South Africa in the 2010 World Cup after receiving his first international call-up for the friendly against Australia at Loftus Road.

Born in Cape Town, Furman grew up in Edgware and joined the Scottish
giants in 2006 after a spell at Chelsea.

Following Tuesday's 2-2 draw where he was an unused substitute, Furman said: "I was disappointed not to get on but all in all, it was a great experience and a great honour."

With the 2010 World Cup taking place in his homeland, Furman said: "The manager has promised to keep track of my progress.
