It has been a hectic few days in the Caro household, to say the least. It started with a mad dash out of the office when my wife, Donna, gave birth to our third child, Ruby, 10 days early. As you'd expect, I'm delighted with my hat-trick.
Ruby arrived 12 hours after I watched my beloved Liverpool beat Chelsea and, thankfully, I arrived just in the nick of time.
A couple of days later, with co-manager Jonny Adelman on a scouting mission in Germany, I returned to the dugout, swapping nappies for a team talk, ahead of North London Raiders A's Peter Morrison Trophy clash against Brady Maccabi A.
Brady had announced the signing of TJ Keterman on the eve of the game and his excellent performance scuppered any hopes of my boys producing any baby-rocking goal celebrations.
Like Raiders, Brady have been struggling in the league this season but with Keterman, Paul Hakim and Jon Green in attack, the signs are that they will start scoring the goals to climb the table.
I was mightily impressed with the quality of Josh Rosenfeld's men, who were worthy winners on the day.
Brady will have to do without the services of Josh Gordon for the next few weeks after he suffered a broken nose as a result of a stray elbow. Gordon was quick to praise the actions of referee Gary Silver who was quickly on to the scene.
Gordon said: "I've had X-rays which confirmed the break. I look a right state now but am hoping I don't need surgery. I'm absolutely gutted."
The draw for the last 16 of the Peter Morrison Trophy has thrown up some mouthwatering ties. Hendon A will take on Redbridge Jewish Care A in a re-run of last season's JC Cyril Anekstein Cup final thriller.
David Garbacz's Hendon are going great guns on all fronts and home advantage could play a part against last season's double champions.
However, RJC have hit top form and with new signings Josh Kennet and Adam Bolle, it appears they have found more than able replacements for JC MSFL Player of the Year Daran Bern.
There's also the small matter of London Maccabi Lions A and North West Neasden A. Both are former winners of the Jewish FA Cup and it's hard to call a winner.
Holders Manchester Maccabi 1st face an intriguing clash against North London Raiders B. Rob Richman's Raiders have impressed in their first season in the top-flight, and having completed a pair of victories over Faithfold A, last season's runners-up, will be confident.
Oakwood joint-manager Ric Blank described the draw against Leeds Maccabi 1st as "the one we wanted".
After Oakwood's nail-biter victory against Norstar A on penalties, the match will see the trio of Dan Rose, Brad Wine and Rob Davidson line-up against their former club.
Blank said: "As I settled down to watch Match of the Day 2 on Sunday night, my phone started going and I found out we'd drawn Leeds.
"This is the tie we wanted more than anything, and with Oakwood hero Steven Berke playing for Leeds, this is going to be an unbelievable game."
