Another Jewish player has slipped into the SPL almost unnoticed. I've heard good things about Myles Anderson, son of football agent Jerome, who joins Nick Blackman at Aberdeen, and they should thrive under the watchful eye of Aberdeen manager Craig Brown and his assistant Archie Knox.

It's a case of friends reunited for Anderson and Blackman who were GB teammates at the 2005 Maccabiah Games. Blackburn striker Blackman has fired 11 goals during loan spells with Motherwell and Aberdeen while Anderson made his debut in the recent match against Kilmarnock. Anderson also featured in a pre-season friendly for Blackburn's first team last year and has agreed a to sign for Rovers on July 1.

Israel international Biram Kayal has been making waves at Celtic, but he was unable to stop Rangers from taking the first major piece of silverware at the CIS final. Indeed the only thing Kayal collected was a yellow card.

● Faithfold A stand in the way of North West Neasden A and an appearance in a fourth consecutive Peter Morrison Trophy final on Sunday. It's been a tough season for Jamie Cole's men but the manager is confident the team will clinch its place in the May 15 showpiece.
