Jonathan Cohen described his Temple Fortune team as heroes after they went down 2-1 against in-form Catford & Bromley, playing the entire game with 10 men.
Cohen explained: "We had to play the entire game with just 10 players and no recognisable keeper this week owing to two weddings and one no-show on the day. To a man, we were superb and had strict game-plan which we stuck to throughout and frustrated our opponents."
Catford started the game brightly and scored two goals before the interval.
A great header from the edge of the box from Adams hit the underside of the crossbar and nestled in the net.
Then Sinai swivelled and turned on the edge of the box and unleashed a peach of a strike that hit the top corner.
2-0 at half-time and Catford looked pretty comfortable restricting Fortune to one shot on goal.
The second half however was a different story - Catford had a one good chance to kill the game off but some brilliant defending from Lee Fegan and Paul Rich snuffed them out.
Fortune were resolute and very disciplined and came into our with 25 minutes to go. Having pulled one back from the penalty spot via Adam Lenz.
The hosts continued to push but couldn’t capitalise from a succession of corners as the wind carried the ball away from target.
But Catford held on and to record their fourth win on the spin and three in a row in the league.
Fortune boss Jonathan Cohen told JC Sport: "No doubt about it Catford were the dominant team in the first half and had the majority the play as you would expect as we looked to play tight game and no pressing of the ball until they reached our half.
"In the end Catford tried to run the ball into the corner and will admit that they played a very good and resilient side on the day. I was very pleased with the effort and commitment shown by all."
Catford boss Jeff Gotch told JC Sport: "We played on a bobbly, puddle-ridden pitch and it was a mighty slog. It wasn't pretty but it's three points once more and we move on."
