Fortune chairman angered by three red cards

"I am really shamed by the events," said Kyte, who this week wrote a strongly-worded email to all his players. "Three red cards have brought much discredit to this club and I am sick and tired of the antics of some players. I will not tolerate it any longer.

"The first team’s general behaviour is an utter disgrace and has to improve. Action will be taken because we cannot let this current trend of indiscipline continue.

"We have a proud history and reputation built up over many years which is second to none and those showing such disrespect for this club will not be permitted to play. I apologise to the referee and the League."

Shirley Park player-manager Dave Lusman commented: "My players were on the receiving end of violent conduct and reckless challenges, and in my opinion the referee was lenient."

League chairman David Wolff said: "The behaviour that is being suggested is completely unacceptable, but the league can only take a watching brief as all on-field issues can only be dealt with by the FA. We cannot touch it. All we can do is issue warnings.

"We look to the clubs to correct it and I know Fortune are dealing with the issues. They will take whatever action is necessary."
