Daniel Field was one of the star performers during England's series against blind cricket world champions Pakistan in Dubai.

The ground-breaking tour saw wicketkeeper Field, 21, participate in the first ever blind Twenty20 and and one-day international series, the last of which was the first of its kind to be played under floodlights.

Having recently returned home with a strained medial ligament, Field was on the field for the full 80 overs in back-to-back matches after acting as a runner to a teammate who hit two double centuries and a 94.

"It felt quite spectacular to be involved in a bit of history," said Field. "We held our own against the world champions so there were plenty of positives to take away. But it's a shame that there is nothing more tangible to show for it."
