Elliott Bloom has threatened to pull Faithfold B out of Maccabi football if they are thrown out of the Peter Morrison Trophy.
Faithfold face four misconduct charges after their match against Brady Maccabi was abandoned after 70 minutes due to the conduct of their players.
Brady were leading 5-2 when referee Paul Dobkin halted proceedings. Faithfold’s Darren Bloom had already been sent off for two cautionable offences — both dissent related — and the official suffered further verbal attacks from the Faithfold camp as Brady’s Ben Hildebrand lay on the pitch in agony with a dislocated knee.
Bloom said: “I’m in shock that we’re being punished. It does not seem right that we’re being singled out in a game where one of my players suffered a suspected hairline fracture of his ankle following a bad tackle that went unpunished.
"It was a great game until one of their players ran the length of the pitch to punch one of my players on the back of the head, but the referee missed it. He lost control and was awful.
"We’ve been left with our best player out for the rest of the season. I want the match replayed as I feel we could have won the game. We will be appealing."
MGBSFL Referee’s Secretary Andy Myerson received a report from Paul Dobkin earlier this week and identified four misconduct charges that will be dealt with by the London FA.
Myerson said: “The game was abandoned due to the behaviour of the Faithfold players. After being sent off, Darren Bloom refused to leave the vicinity of the field of play and then continued to his verbal tirade.
"Elliott Bloom has also been reported for manhandling my official. It’s all desperately disappointing. It’s totally unnecessary and unacceptable and people have to take a long and hard look at themselves as my referee is a human being who deserves a little bit better than that.
"Teams have to decide if they want to play football or else find something better to do with their Sunday mornings."
Faithfold and Brady are scheduled to meet again, this time in the MGBSFL first division, on November 15.
