Brian Myer says he is proud to be associated with the Manchester Jewish Soccer League after it received a silver award from the FA.

The MJSL has been recognised as the best grassroots league in the region following the accolade which is part of the FA’s Respect and Fair Play Award.

League chairman Brian Myer said: "It’s an excellent achievement to be recognised by our governing football body and to be described as ‘one of the best Leagues in the country for fair play’ is indeed something that we can all be proud of.

"Recognition in the wider community is always very welcome. Much of this recognition is due to the very hard work put in by our Secretary and vice-chairman, Paul Rose, who liaises constantly with the Manchester FA in his dual role on our League Executive and on the MFA committee.
