Dyrham Park won the Association of Jewish Golf Clubs & Societies' Southern Provincial tournament.
The host team ran out victors to collect the Hartsbourne Trophy. They won by a comfortable margin over North West London JGS who received the Abridge Trophy.
The competition is played over one round and is formatted by way of handicap group which allows golfers of varying abilities to represent their clubs and societies in South of England that are affiliated to the Association.
Local knowledge proved an asset with Stephen Schindler of the home club winning both the net and gross individual prizes with a round of 74, with Robert Stone of Barnet JGS taking the runner up prize in the net category.
Dyrham provided a course in great condition which was by common consent a tough but fair test of the player’s skill. The Club also extended great hospitality to all players and supporters and at the post round meal the Captain, Roger Fine, extended a warm welcome to all the visitors.
The prizes were presented by Mr Laurie Lawson, current Captain of Captains.
