Dan Stanton's last-gasp winner sparked scenes of wild celebration as FC Team C got one over on their B-team, ending their 100 per cent league record in the process.
Team C boss David Gordon was forced into a tactical reshuffle, with striker Matt Davis fielded in goal - the former Team Maccabi GB and London Lions stopper showed no signs of rustiness in his first appearance in nets in three years.
However, Davis was unable to keep out David Grossman's opener as the B's forged ahead.
But the star-studded C-team hit back soon after when former London Lions star Aron Barnes found the net.
The C's then stepped up a gear, with top-scorer Adam Stolerman giving them the upper hand.
But the B's did not let their heads drop and when Shuey Mirwis equalised, Mitch Young's men felt they had done enough to earn a point.
But there was one final twist as Stanton finished off a brilliant flowing one-touch move to lift the C's to within three points of the table-topping Bs.
Team C boss David Gordon told JC Sport: "I'm really pleased with how every single one of the boys played. Everyone worked hard and they all had a part to play in the win.
"I’m especially pleased at how we have been mentally because this is the third time we have gone behind this season and we have come back to win every time.
"We have a never-say-die attitude and we always believe that we can win no matter what.
"Credit also to Daniel Beresford who refereed the game when the actual ref turned up and decided he didn’t fancy it. We were extremely relieved to have Berry there so I want to use this opportunity to thank and credit him for refereeing the game very well. Ironically, he is the best referee we have had all season."
FC Team B boss Mitch Young told JC Sport: "I am disappointed to have lost the game. We were in control at half time leading 1-0 and then came out all guns blazing and missed chance after chance.
"They then scored and were on top for a large period before scoring a last-minute winner.
"I thought the draw would have been a fair result but congratulations to the Cs. Any team with a core of Matt Davis, Aaron Barnes, Daniel Stanton and Adam Stolerman will be very hard to beat and we just came up short today.
"We hope to turn this league defeat around in a couple of weeks. The game was played in exceptionally good spirits and, as chairman, it was very pleasing to see two teams of such quality going at it all in the love of the game.
"Finally a thank you to Daniel Beresford for stepping in and reffing the game as Bob Caplin deemed the pitch unplayable as he could not see the lines."
