Lorian Madanes is my September Player of the Month for September.
His goals and creativity have catapulted FC Team B to the top of Division Two, with an unblemished record.
His boss, Mitch Young, who wins my top managerial prize, made him captain for the day in the 6-3 win over Catford & Bromley, and told me after that he “dictated the play for 90 minutes”.
Young has worked hard to secure the services of the mercurial Madanes, who should, in all fairness, be playing in the league’s top division at the very least.
Justin ‘JJ Spiro was my top performer in the Premier Division. The NLR stopper has been the model of consistency since joining the club and ensured the void left by injured captain David Rhodes has not affected the team in terms of organisation or results.
Spiro’s character was summed up perfectly in the cup win over Redbridge. “He was ill in bed in the lead up to the game but came out and expertly handled any RJC threat”.
And it’s a one-two for Norstar London Raiders A, with Rob Richman my top gaffer award. L’Orange has come through some tough early tests with flying colours.
The awards head east in Division One, with Sam Sollosi stepping up to the plate for table-toppers Division One pace-setters Redbridge B. He has been outstanding thus far, and scored a couple of ‘worldies’. And Jon Jacobs will be beaming from ear to ear after scooping the top boss accolade.
Phil Braham was the star man in Division Three. He enjoyed a terrific month, including a goal and man-of-the-match performance against Lions Green, another strike against Sosobad and hat-trick against Boca Jewniors. Braham also started October well, with a double against the Masters in the Morrison.
Jacob Kadoch wins the top boss award in the division after leading King Crown to three consecutive wins, including two clean sheets.
