Crown backs new head coach

Cliff Crown has backed Brentford’s bold move to overhaul their management team for next season.

The Bees chairman formed part of the boardroom’s shock decision to revamp the club’s structure.

Mark Warburton, who masterminded Brentford’s march to the Championship play-off semi finals, has moved on with Dutchman Marinus Dijkhuizen replacing him as head coach.

Dijkhuizen, 43, favours the stats-based European model that the west Londoners want to introduce.
