Chigwell & Hainault claimed a 24-run victory in a friendly against Belmont & Edgware 2nds.

The east Londoners got off to a bad start after being reduced to 17-2, but a stand of over 200 by Rose and Lloyd Dudridge took the game away for BECC.

The pair excelled at the crease, but BECC were left to rue a high proportion of extras, misfields, overthrows and missed run-out opportunities. The ever-reliable Oskar Hollinsworth bowled tightly and pick up a wicket, while Adam Jacobs was the only bowler to truly test Chigwell with some great death bowling. He finished with 3-24 off seven overs.

The BECC top-order was blown away and three wickets in three balls to slump to 12-4, courtesy of a a stunning hat-trick from Alex Katseph.
