2012 Olympics hopeful Rosie Chapman has returned to the UK following a gruelling three-month training camp in Palma, Spain.
Training with two-time Olympic medallist Joe Glanfield and Mark Rushell, Chapman has improved her fitness and started an Olympic Development squad camp in Stokes Bay.
She is now focusing on two weekends of world and European qualifiers before returning to Spain for another Development squad camp prior to the Princess Sofia Regatta.
The race will be Chapman’s first ISAF Grade One Olympic Regatta of the year, the second is in Hyeres in the South of France.
Trying to raise funds for a new boat, Chapman said: “I believe that this is one of the most important years in the new Olympic cycle. I am really excited to begin the competitive season following the first winter without operations that I can remember.”
