Roger Bruck completed a hat-trick of wins by retaining his high jump title at the Southern Counties Masters Indoor Championships at Lee Valley Athletics Centre in Picketts Lock, North London.

Coached by John Barnett, Bruck is the current British Masters Pentathlon champion.

He celebrates his 50th anniversary in the senior athletics ranks this year. In 1959, he won his first county vest, took gold at the European Maccabi Games in Copenhagen and claimed the first of his 13 successive 100 metres sprint titles at Shaftesbury Harriers.

The 69-year-old, is a five-time gold medal winner at the Maccabiah and European Maccabi Games. He has represented Middlesex and Surrey in open competition.
