There was heartbreak for GB in the Bridge event as they missed out on a medal.
Captained by Andrew Kaye, GB led the 15-team competition until the last day but, having beaten eventual winners Austria, they had to settle for fifth position and were the only British team to finish without a medal.
In Bernard Teltscher, aged 89, they had the oldest participant at the European Maccabi Games.
GB Bridge player Malcolm Harris said: "It's the first time in 12th time in 12 Maccabi Games that GB have not won a medal, so we are quite upset.
"These Games were the most organised and had the best playing conditions I have ever known and the Austrians were superb hosts."
