A five-goal salvo from Jonny Blain helped North London Raiders A come from behind to claim a 7-2 victory over Division Four high-flyers Woodford Wanderers in the second round of the Peter Morrison Trophy.

Enfield Town hotshot Mitch Hahn gave the Wanderers an early lead but Blain, along with further strikes from Adam Posner and supersub Nicky Woolf eased Adam Fegan’s men through. Darryl Green scored Woodford’s second. The East Londoners finished with 10 men after player-manager

Alex Aviram was sent off following two cautions.
Raiders boss Adam Fegan said: “All 14 boys involved were
simply sensational.”

Aviram said: “Raiders could not handle us for the first 10 minutes and we could have put the game to bed. Credit to Raiders and Jonny Blain for taking advantage of my team’s frustrations. We will take the positives from this game and return to trying to win the league title.”
