Republic of Mancunia 1st boss Les Blackston believes the MJSL is better than ever after witnessing a revival in northern Jewish football.

Blackston, whose side are eight points off leaders Haroldeans, is adamant the quality of the younger players in the league has had a huge impact on the entire competition.

And with the likes of Haroldeans, Manchester Maccabi 3rd, Sporting JLGB and the two Republic teams all vying for supremacy, Blackston says these are exciting times for all involved.

“I think the standard of football in the MJSL has really improved this year,” he said.
