Nick Blackman is vowing to get into the Blackburn first team after scoring his first goal at Motherwell where he recently signed a six-month loan deal.

The former GB Maccabiah star scored nine goals pre-season for Rovers but will spearhead Motherwell's Europa League campaign following his switch from Ewood Park.

He scored the winner in the 1-0 SPL victory at Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

Blackman, whose mother is Jewish, said: "My loan to Motherwell is about showing Blackburn I am worthy of a place in their first team.
