Belmont 2nds came through in a nail-biting finish in a friendly against North Harrow.

Upon losing the toss, things started badly for BECC in the field with runs coming quickly, but once Gideon Mendel found the perfect line and length the tide turned.

Phil Mayer took a smart catch at mid-wicket to remove the dangerous opener off Mendel, who then proceeded to take two more wickets including a good catch at mid-off by newcomer Jason Mann, and one behind the stumps by Ryan Monk. Mendel ended up with 3-39.

Michell Mayer was brought on and took three very quick wickets which reduced North Harrow to 91-6 at after 20 overs. Mayer ended up with 3-27.
