SPEC defended brilliantly in the first half, especially after they scored their goal. It was clear that they came with a game-plan to defend deep and hit Camden on the counter, which was working to perfection.
Camden manager Nick Kagan laid into his team at half-time and reminded them of the importance of this game. They massively picked it up in the second half and started to play some beautiful football, constantly pressurising SPEC’s back-line and keeper.
The equaliser came shortly after half time through a great solo effort from Baneth, who also scored our second and third, ensuring the victory and his second hat-trick against SPEC in two games.
Camden's Max Saunders told JC Sport: "Before the new year we set ourselves a target of winning our remaining five games to gain promotion.
"This win, along with Blizzard losing to Redbridge, means that promotion is now in our hands. One down and four to go. Next week’s game against Norstar is going to be huge!"
SPEC FC joint-manager Ricky Lawrence told JC Sport: "Though Camden bossed possession, we could've easily nicked something from the game, and if we'd have held our one-goal lead for a little longer after half time, we could've even grabbed all three points.
"Unfortunately though, we gave away a sloppy goal early in the second half and gave Camden the momentum. We'll be looking for a crucial three points in a couple of weeks against Brixton though."
