Alex Kaye receives the Tony Waltzer Player of the Year trophy

Oakhill Lions midfielder Alex Kaye is the MJSL Player of the Year.

Kaye, 21, received the Tony Waltzer Trophy after a season in which he scored twice in the Feldman Trophy final, including an extra-time winner.

In his final year reading history and sociology at the University of Manchester, Kaye has scored 13 goals, playing predominantly in central midfield as well as a brief spell at centre back.

Kaye said: "Winning the MJSL Player of the Year award is something I am very proud of. It's always nice to see your name engraved on a trophy.
