Adam Warner took bronze at the German Open Water finals.

Warner finished third in his age group in the 5K, crossing the line in 60 minutes. He had to settle for 19th place in the 10k in a time of two hours.

"As expected, the race was very tough," said Warner. "I came away with lots of scratches and bruises, but overall I was pleased."

Victories in races in Welwyn Garden City and Weymouth set him up nicely for the Brighton pier to pier race which he won in 2012.
