Danny Caro's Team of the Week: October 22

articlemain

Here are my star men from Matchday 6 of the season.

1. DAVID GORDON (FC Team B) - produced two "De Gea-esque" saves to help the 10 men record a win compared to "Lazarus being resurrected from the dead"

2. JOSH SHAFFER (RCUK FC) - "was given the unenviable task of man marking Adam Ellis and boy did he do a job. Apart from one early run through he didn't have a sniff. I think Josh followed him back to Birmingham. Was immense!"

3. BEN MANDEL (Hertswood Vale) - "didn't show any signs of rustiness or jet lag as he made the long haul down from Manchester for the game. 2 assists later, Finchley City must've wished he stayed in the north"

4. NATHAN SCHINDLER (ML Lions B) - "absolutely phenomenal performance at centre-back" against Blancos

5. NATHAN ANDERS (ML Lions U21) - toghether with Sam Hamerton, played a key role in keeping a clean sheet against Scrabble

6. JAMES BRESLAW (FC Team A) - capped an excellent performance with the goal that ended Redbridge C's 100 per cent record

7. RAFI STONE (Oakwood A) - "on debut and MOM in central midfield. Composed and ran the game with two assists and a goal"

8. DAN ASH (Oakwood B) - "ran the show with his trademark snaking runs and Brixton could not handle his pace"

9. HARRY GRAHAM (Hertswood Vale) - "a dogged 90 minutes with great all round play. Constantly was a menace to the Finchley City defence. The equaliser was the least he deserved"

10. RICHARD SALMON (FC Team A) - "two big defenders could not handle him" against Oakwood

11. ALEX ELF (NL Raiders C) - put in a huge shift against Catford, scoring a goal and a penalty in the shoot-out
