Goalkeepers and referees are often the forgotten men at the end of a football match. But not this week.
After a dramatic 90 minutes in a relegation six-pointer against Jewdinese, AC Whetstone showed a touch of class when he paid tribute to the performance of the man in black, Laurence Thorne.
Nathan told JC Sport: "A word of thanks to Laurence Thorne who was calmness personified as referee when some young heads on the pitch and one or two on the touchline got heated."

BEST OF THE REST
- ROB RICHMAN (NL Raiders A) - "Firstly, and most importantly, we wish both George Fierstone and Ollie Leslie speedy recoveries from the injuries they picked up. We hope they are back on the football pitch before too long"
- MAX SAUNDERS (Camden Park) - "We completely outplayed Redbridge, a team walking away with the league. We dominated possession, won every battle and created a host of chances. Even the most biased Redbridge fans would find it hard to counter that assessment"
