Kate hudson and Sarah Jessica Parker have found themselves sharing the same man. Thankfully, this is nothing to do with Hudson’s rumoured relationship with ex-cyclist Lance Armstrong, or Parker’s marriage to Matthew Broderick, but their doubling up on the same hairdresser. The man in question is David Babaii, and Hudson has now launched a hair-care line with the stylist who regularly tames SJP’s cascading mane. At the launch of the range of eco-friendly products, Hudson spoke of her first encounter with Babaii: “I needed a blow-dry and he was available. Not much later, I was going to the Golden Globes and he knocked my hair out of the park for that night. But now I have to share him because he’s become a man of many women.” Babaii himself was slightly less fulsome about his famous client, saying only: “I don’t test on animals, I test on Kate.”

Sex and the City actress Kristin Davis, whose character Charlotte converted to Judaism in the show, has been explaining why the experience hasn’t inspired her to investigate the religion in real life. Speaking in Jerusalem, where she was being paraded as the new face of the Ahava Dead Sea cosmetics range, she revealed: “I never had enough time to truly explore Judaism — and our Jewish advisers were always contradicting each other on set. ”

Little Britain star Matt Lucas and his civil partner Kevin McGee have split after three years together. Solicitors for the couple said that the separation was amicable. Lucas and McGee were married at a lavish pantomine-themed ceremony in front of celebrity guests including Sir Elton John.

Talking of splits, Paula Abdul has broken up with her boyfriend, restaurateur J T Torregiani. The American Idol judge, who looks amazing for her 46 years, had started dating toyboy Torregiani, 12 years her junior, last July. Jeffery Ballard, a spokesman for the star, confirmed the break up on entertainment channel E!, revealing they had split up “months ago”.
