She attends Yavneh College, having been at Hertsmere Jewish Primary. She enjoys music and is learning to play the piano. She last year raised over £1,000 for Cancer Research and Chai Cancer Care through a sponsored walk she organised with some school friends. Another sponsored walk will support research into Crohn's disease

What was special about your simchah?

Being a milestone for Shenley. It was a coming of age for the whole congregation. The Friday night and Shabbat morning services were all the more special in that the davening was led by two of my uncles - Andrew, who had travelled from Boston and David, who came over from Jerusalem.

It was at the Old Chapel in Shenley, where the community holds services. Almost 150 people were there, rather than the normal 30-or-so. It was completed by a fabulous kiddush, after which we had a family lunch back at home.

It was also held at the Old Chapel, which I wanted to use because it is a venue I have grown up with. The hall that had been a shul the day before was transformed into a tropical jungle complete with disco. The columns around the hall were covered in camouflage netting and leaves and there were various wooden animals dotted around, along with palm trees and balloons. To add to the jungle effect, the tables were named after different animals.
