An educational twinning scheme run by international aid charity Tzedek brought three Ghanaian teachers to London to talk about their experiences and to lead lessons at Jewish schools.

Tzedek's Learning Together scheme has provided an interactive forum for pupils in the UK and Ghana to develop an understanding of the world and their role within it.

The programme lasts an academic year and lessons are based on an exchange of work. "Everything is sent via post so the pupils are receiving papers that have been written in the other country," Tzedek education director Libby Burkeman explained.

Exchanged material includes drawings of the view from classroom windows and "day in the life of" photos.
