Braving last Sunday's rain, 22 hikers raised more than £4,000 for UJIA's Chalom B'Merom programme. The Manchester hikers, aged between 16 and 60, walked nearly seven miles in the Peak District and climbed Froggatt Edge. Manchester UJIA director Ilana Ray said: "We didn't care about the rain - we are proud to fund this programme." The project funds extra-curricular education for children in the Merom HaGalil region.
