Rabbi Mark Goldsmith is calling on other Jews and non-Jews from the area to do their bit for local charities on Mitzvah Day. He is urging them to join members of his community to become actively involved in the spirit of the day.

Alyth's eight projects provide something for everyone in the community. Our cheder will be very invoved - creating gift boxes for Barnardo's, collecting books to despatch to Africa and making window boxes for local senior citizens without any garden access. The adults will also get their chance to play their part; i.e. painting and decorating at Homeless Action in Barnet, and a local church-synagogue shopping initiative.
