What's going on with Barry Manilow? The singer's been pictured looking gaunt and painfully thin, with some US magazines reporting that his weight has dropped to just seven stone. Alarm bells may be ringing, but according to a statement from his spokesman, there's no problem. "We just saw a pretty outrageous headline claiming Barry was down to 100lbs. Granted, he's pretty trim. But 100lbs? Give us a break. And no... he's not ill." The skinny star is soon to embark on another round of performances in Las Vegas, so he's going to need to be fighting fit.

Meanwhile, High School Musical star Zac Efron has been busy beefing up at the gym. The once-scrawny schoolboy has transformed himself into a toned hunk. He has apparently been doing hour-long weight-lifting sessions at the Toluca Lake Tennis Club in Los Angeles. According to his girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens, he's attracting a lot of attention from the opposite sex - something I can vouch for, judging by the reaction of the girls in my office when I interviewed him.

Sarah Jessica Parker is back in the news, or rather her facial mole is. After fans - clearly with a lot of time on their hands - had been complaining they found it "distracting", the mole seems to have disappeared, sparking speculation that it may have been surgically removed. The actress's spokesman says: "Nothing has been removed", but another source close to the Sex and the City star reveals: "I don't know exactly when she had it done, but she has definitely had a procedure. She's kept it really quiet though."

Katie Price (aka Jordan) has signed up to run the London marathon next year. The glamour model-turned-businesswoman told The Mirror: "I'm going to get proper training and finish it. Now I've said it publicly, I can't back out of it." I myself am in training at the moment - only for a half-marathon, but then, Jordan's got twice the front that I have.
