Yavneh College has received a clutch of awards for its exam results.
The Schools, Students and Teachers (SSAT) network, an independent body supporting professional development, gave the Elstree-based school six educational outcome awards for its achievements in years 11 and 13 last summer.
Sue Williamson, SSAT chief executive, said its success was “down to the superb learning and teaching, outstanding support and inspirational leadership of students, staff, parents and governors” which had made a “huge difference” to young people’s lives.
The school was in the top 10 per cent of non-selective schools nationally for attainment and in the Department for Education’s band one for progress up to GCSE. It was also recognised for being in the top 10 per cent for attainment in the sixthform and achieving higher than average progress both in academic and vocational subjects.
Spencer Lewis, Yavneh's executive headteacher, said, "I am so proud of pupils and staff who have once again made this happen."
