Fair Reporting in partnership with the Council of Christians and Jews hosted a meeting at the Annie Myers Hall. Jack de Metz, chairman of Fair Reporting, welcomed the mayoress, Councillor Gwen Horrigan, before introducing Eli Benson, executive director of Magen David Adom UK who told the 60-strong audience about the MDA. During a question-and-answer session Mr Benson explained how MDA, now recognised by the Red Cross, advises people around the world on how to cope with emergency rescues. The audience raised £400 for MDA.
